How to get to the city center and back?
There are several possibilities to reach the city center …
City Airport Train
The easiest and very comfortable way is the City Airport Train with a direct service from the airport to Wien Mitte - with great connection to the public transport system of Vienna (U3, U4).
You can also take the S-Bahn. It arrives in the same train station as the CAT, but has several stops inbetween. The good news is: S-Bahn is considerably cheaper than CAT.
The fastest and most convenient way to get to the airport and back is to take a taxi. There are several taxi companies in Vienna and at the airport. When you call a taxi on the phone please indicate that you need a taxi to the airport, otherwise the price you’ll have to pay is much higher. If you announce it in advance, there is a fixed price of EUR 34.00. Taxis with a licensce from the city are not allowed to take customers back to the city center. Therefore you have to to take - a very expensive taxi - outside of the arrival building (follow the signs) or book a taxi at one of the counters in the arrival hall.
