Art is an important medium for the creation of a contextual ethical consciousness, be it in social, scientific, political or cultural contexts. The exhibition “Queer Art Space Vienna” is an attempt to provide insight into Vienna’s dynamic queer art scene. The “queer” are those artistic and cultural practices that - by questioning heteronormative power relations - force interactions between artwork and viewer and thus provoke changes in the (socio)political context.
Performances, guided tours and lectures will take place within the framework of the exhibition.
