EuroPride 2019 Regenbogenparade

On 15 June 2019, the Rainbow Parade will move across the Vienna Ring Road for the 24th time. Lesbians, gays, bisexuals, heterosexuals, trans-, cis-, inter- and queer people will demonstrate together for acceptance, respect and equal rights in Austria, Europe and all over the world. The parade starts at 12 noon at the Rathausplatz, where the warm-up starts at 10 a.m. in the Pride Village.

The parade train will move against the direction of travel once around the Ring and the quay back to Pride Village, where the celebration will take place with speeches by activists* and politicians* as well as the awards ceremony for the best parade contributions. Domestic and international acts will provide entertainment on a large stage.

Despite the exuberant party atmosphere, the Rainbow Parade is an important political demonstration, which is why HOSI Vienna is calling on all marchers and spectators* to express their concerns with banners, T-shirts, etc. The parade will be held on a large stage. to give expression!

Route EuroPride 2019 Regenbogenparade

The participating groups will gather on Saturday, 15 June 2019, from 10 a.m. between Rathausplatz/Burgtheater and the Federal Police Headquarters at Schottenring, where they will be placed on the starting grid.

The parade starts at 12 noon. The route runs against the direction of travel along the entire ring road. The top of the train is expected to return to the town hall square around 5:30 pm.

At 15 o’clock the moment of remembrance takes place. The whole parade stands still and we commemorate those people who can no longer celebrate with us.

Photo zone

In the approx. 75-metre-long photo zone set up immediately after the start, all registered groups have the opportunity to present their contribution to a jury and a group of photographers* and cameramen. The jury will select the best contributions according to creativity, execution and message in the categories “foot group”, “small vehicles” and “trucks and semi-trailers”. The best entries will win the Rainbow Trophy.
